Pepsi Vending Machine Pays You

Traditional vending machines require cash before providing folks with a tasty beverage. The Dream Machine, a new type of vending kiosk, embraces a much cooler concept: It gives you points and prizes in exchange for an empty bottle or can. Organizers hope the reverse vending machine will encourage recycling when people are away from home and without access to a convenient recycling bin.

Currently, the Dream Machine can only be found in 150 North Carolina Rite Aid stores, but Southern California will install about 3,000 of the devices by the end of the summer. Organizers say they plan to roll out several thousand of the machines across the country throughout this year. Waste Management will work with the non-profit Keep America Beautiful to find ideal locations for the Dream Machines.

USA World Cup 2010 Kit

Nike's USA 2010 WC kit resembles the ones from the 1950s. I've heard its somewhat of a tribute to the 1950s team that upset the England squad in the knockout stages that year. The jersey is made with recycled plastic and other eco-friendly materials and its supposed to be lighter. Its kind of plain/boring to me which mimics USA's style of play. I know....I was born in the states but I first enjoyed soccer when I saw Pele play and since then I've favored Brazil. Hate me or not, I staying true. I do wish Charlie Davies a speedy recovery, in hopes to be on the WC squad.....atleast he has "flare" in his play.

Steve Carell's contract for The Office runs through next season, the show's seventh, and he may not stick around after that. Asked if he would stay longer, Carell, who has some ten movie projects in the works, told a BBC reporter, "I don't think so. I think that will probably be my last year." Of course, the last thing NBC needs is for the leading man of their highest-rated comedy to split, so they will likely offer Carell just about anything he wants to stay.

DMX Sues for Royalties from Jail

According to THR, Esq. Rapper DMX, currently serving six months in jail for a probation violation, is being productive behind bars, suing his copyright administrator.

In a complaint filed in New York Supreme Court, the hip-hop artist formerly known as Earl Simmons claims that Rich Kid Entertainment owes him more than $1.5 million after fraudulently misrepresenting its rights to collect revenue on the rapper's behalf. Simmons says that his contract with Rich Kid only granted it authority to collect money for certain songs produced in 1998, but that the company went beyond the scope of that agreement to take money for other songs.

The suit claims that Rich Kid presented itself to record labels using false licensing agreements. Claiming authority, the defendant allegedly authorized labels including Sony, Universal, Warner Bros. and others, to use, mix and reproduce some of DMX songs in other albums and songs around the world.

The claims are breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, unjust enrichment, conversion, imposition of a constructive trust, and accounting.

In my opinion, this fool is never going to see that money in his lifetime.

Jamarcus Russell to be Released??

The Oakland Raiders are preparing to release quarterback JaMarcus Russell but have to await the final word from owner Al Davis before they can do so, according to sources.

Russell is on the books for $9.45 million this season, including $3 million in guaranteed money. Since trading for former Redskins quarterback Jason "Eriq LaSalle" Campbell on Saturday, the Raiders have studied Russell's contract and tried to figure out ways to release him to save the organization some money.

Ronaldinho or Raul Coming To MLS?!?!

Raul or Ronaldinho are the candidates likeliest to replace David Beckham at the Los Angeles Galaxy after the news his achilles tendon injury will keep him out of the 2010 Major League Soccer season.

Beckham's injury should allow the Galaxy to acquire another designated player in his absence.

Real Madrid legend Raul was a team-mate of Beckham's at the Bernabeu between 2003 and 2007. Raul, 32, is no longer a first team regular at Real, has hinted that he might be interested in a move to MLS.

Similarly, Ronaldinho and Beckham played together at AC Milan before Beckham's injury last month during his second loan spell with the Italian club. If, as expected, the Brazil international is not included in his country's 2010 World Cup team squad Ronaldinho could also be heading to the MLS.
Ronaldinho, 30, has been mentioned by Galaxy owners AEG in the past as a potential future player, not only because of his on-field ability but because his style and charisma make him a solid commercial investment.

I'm shocked to hear that Ronaldinho would even make such a move, considering that a move back Brazil would have been my first thought. He can make a ALOT of money coming to the MLS so I that move makes since financially and it will also make him relevant in soccer again. Playing in the MLS where there is a stark difference in competition to the European leagues, Ronaldino's skills can shine once again and the same goes to Raul. This is going to be a trend where we see the former stars of soccer come to the US to play once their shine deteriorates.

Conan to TBS!

USAToday reports that Conan had agreed to come to TBS for a late-night show. Conan's show would be right before The George Lopez Show which I never watch. The show will air Mondays through Thursdays at 11pm. Obviously, Lopez's show got bumped to midnight which he was actually fine with.
